Seattle still points a divining rod to the sky, citizens are called Seattleites, and Boeing has long dominated business, but there's more to "The Emerald City" than aviation—or rain—or coffee. The new techs in town are engineering and design wizards from Microsoft, Amazon, T-Mobile, and, as of 2007, frog design, which is located in the vibrant downtown district. No wonder Seattle is repeatedly ranked the "most literate" and "most educated" city in America.
