Milan is the second largest in Italy and financially the most important. It is a renowned capital of design and lifestyle, hosting the annual Milan Furniture Fair (Salone del Mobile) and other landmark events. Milan also remains the marketplace for Italian fashion – fashion aficionados, supermodels and international paparazzi descend upon the city twice a year for its spring and autumn fairs.
frog is a short 10 minute walk from Stazione Garibaldi (Garibaldi Train Station), and can also be reached from the Duomo – the heart of the city center – with a leisurely 30 minute walk.
From within Stazione Garibaldi follow signs for “Uscita di Via Pepe” (you will have to enter the train station to do so, and use escalators to go underground, then look to your right for the signs). Once back above ground walk north for approx. 5 minutes on Via Cola Montano, then turn left on Via Alserio. A couple of minutes more and you will find our studio on the left, on the second floor a building with a glass facade.
The closest Metro station is “Stazione Garibaldi” which is on the green Metro line.
The green line connects Stazione Garibaldi directly to Stazione Centrale (Central Train Station) and Stazione Cadorna (Cadorna Train Station), where the Malpensa Express train line departs and leaves to Malpensa airport.
If you are on the yellow Metro line then stop at Stazione Centrale and take the green line to Stazione Garibaldi (then follow “on foot” instructions above).
From Malpensa Terminal 1 (T1) take the Malpensa Express train (leaves every 30 minutes) and get off at Cadorna, then take the green Metro line towards Gessate/Cologno and get off at Stazione Garibaldi (then follow “public transportation” instructions above).
From Malpensa Terminal 2 (T2) - where most low-cost airlines land and depart – either take the free airport shuttle bus to T1 (about 15-20 minutes) and then follow instructions above, or take a bus from T2 directly to Stazione Centrale (then follow “public transportation” instructions above).
Public transportation from Linate airport to the city center is not very good, the only option being a bus that stops in Piazza San Babila, where you can then take the red Metro line to Cadorna or Loreto (then follow “public transportation” instructions above).
We suggest talking a Taxi instead (please notice: you might be approached by alleged taxi drivers when exiting the airport, but they are not authorized by local authorities and usually ask for a high sum. Walk left until you find the legal taxi stand, or ask for directions in advance).
Milano is a very busy city, traffic tends to be chaotic and parking space can be extremely hard to find.
Take a Taxi or call for one (Phone: +39 02 8585, +39 02 5353, +39 02 6969, +39 02 6767).
If you do come by car but don’t plan to use it while in the city then we advice parking in one of the large parking lots located at the end of each metro line, and then taking the metro following instructions above.
