frog studied over 2,000 homeowners across Europe and North America, and identified the need for an ecosystem of simple, consumer-centric products that are easy to install and provide customers with scalable and repeatable experiences.
frog led the design of the Lyric platform at all scales, from strategy and brand analysis to industrial and digital design. Through the design of the thermostat, the development of a shared app, and the overall branding of the system with name and tagline, frog created a unified customer experience.
The strategy not only envisioned a common ground for Honeywell’s thermostat and home security department – which focused on the needs of homeowners rather than installation contractors – it also enabled Honeywell’s external partners to offer their expertise and dovetail offerings into the Lyric system.
Honeywell asked frog to participate in a workshop dedicated to imagining the future of the connected home.
