What will you be doing?

As a Design Technologist Intern, you’ll be part of a team using the latest tools and techniques to take projects from idea to reality. You’re eager to learn how to take a human-centred approach to development: finding relatable, new ways to use technology, helping others work within technical limits, and building user experiences that improve people’s lives.

Internship program:

  • Program duration is from 2/21/22 - 4/30/22
  • 40 hours/week
  • Paid; hourly rate
  • Fully remot; candidates must reside in the United States in order to apply 

We want you to have:

  • Openness to new ideas, an eye for detail, and a desire to work with designers
  • Some experience building responsive interfaces, working with user events, manipulating UI elements, and applying animations/transitions
  • Familiarity with a major MVVM or MVC framework (React, Angular, Flutter, etc.) and with using an API to read data or authenticate
  • Understanding of programming fundamentals, like OOP, functions, asynchronous execution, and source control
  • A willingness to learn, explore, and collaborate

It would be a bonus if you had:

  • Built multiple kinds of frontend applications (i.e., web and mobile)
  • Full-stack skills, like coding for the cloud, writing API’s, or working with databases
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and creating proof-of-concept demos
  • Explored different flavours of technology, like ML, IoT, or AR/VR
  • Knowledge of agile best practices
