The Position: Interaction Designer I or II 

The Interaction Designer I or II will lead product research, strategy, information architecture development, and interaction design for corporate Websites and software applications. 

The Contribution: 

  • Conducting user requirements and task analysis, conceptual modeling, information architecture design, interaction design, and usability testing 
  • Designing user interfaces and information architecture using participatory and iterative design techniques 
  • Producing user requirements specifications, personas, storyboards, scenarios, flowcharts, and design prototypes 
  • Communicating research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale verbally and visually 
  • Working closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented 
  • Participating as a contributor to an interdisciplinary team that includes other designers, project management, business and brand strategists, and hardware/software developers 
  • Utilizing understanding of client business requirements to perform the duties described above  

You Are:

You bring to the organization the following competencies; 

  • 1-5 years of post-graduation, commercial experience as a user interface designer 
  • Bachelor’s (pref. Master’s) Degree in Human-Computer Interaction or a related design discipline 
  • In depth knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to Web- and mobile-based applications and consumer electronics 
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as AdobeCC, Sketch, InVisionPixateand Framer 
  • Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of Web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, Flash, and CSS 
  • Excellent communication and organization skills. Must be able to work both on a team and independently 
  • A passion for creating products that resonate emotionally with people
