The Position: Desktop Systems Analyst (freelance/subcontractor)

Systems Analysts help and assist frog users with all IS and infrastructure technical needs. The Desktop Systems Analyst is the primary representative of the IS team that will address any and all technical problems that a user at frog may encounter. This includes the full realm of activation and deactivation of a user from ordering hardware to managing the decommissioning and recycling of hardware. As the first line of contact with the users and possibly clients, all duties must be performed with the greatest degree of professionalism. 

The Contribution:

  • Activate and deactivate users
    • Create and deactivate accounts in Active Directory
    • Order hardware for incoming users
    • Build and configure computers for new hires per checklists
    • Perform IS Orientation for new hires
    • Collect and process data for deactivated users per checklists
  • Address incoming service requests from the ticketing system
    • Work on tickets from the ticketing system
    • Address all incoming service requests within the Service Level Agreement
    • Create tickets in the ticketing system for service request that come in from email or walk ups
  • Ensure that all workstations have:
    • Network connectivity
    • Telephone
  • Work with teammates across the organization to deliver IS projects and solve local studio issues.
    • frog wide roll outs
    • infrastructure outages
    • studio outages

You Are:

  • Proficient with both Mac OS X (10.5 and higher) and Windows OS (XP, Vista, 7)
    • Expert Mac OS X is a plus
  • Experience with both Mac and Windows versions of the following suite of products:
    • Microsoft Office
    • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with provisioning accounts in Active Directory
    • User accounts
    • Binding computers to the domain
  • Basic knowledge of networking and network components
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communications skills (verbal and written)
    • Documentation and procedures
    • Ability to professionally articulate solutions and recommendations
  • Ability to multitask, stay focused and complete tasks
  • Ability to keep composure in high stress situations
  • Innate passion for customer support in a high touch environment
  • 2 years of experience in a technical support role in a professional environment
