We believe that diverse backgrounds and experiences creates a stronger frog.

Our work is transformational because our people are extraordinary. frogs are analytical and artistic, conservative and unconventional, technical and whimsical. We look for hybrid talents and build teams around divergent expertise, which allows us to solve problems and uncover opportunities in unique ways. frogs are some of the best talent in the world, and together we advance the human experience through design.

The Position: Strategist

Strategists work with designers, technologists and program managers as a core member of a multi-disciplinary engagement team. They provide a business-relevant perspective on design challenges. This typically involves developing an understanding of the market and competitive factors, identifying and prioritizing opportunities, and helping to frame the overarching story of a project. Ultimately, the job of the Strategist is to ensure that the team delivers not only designs, but also insight that helps clients make decisions about their businesses.

In this position you can influence client engagements at any stage of the product/service development lifecycle – understanding user needs and market opportunities, envisioning new solutions, market validation, business modeling, requirements definition, architecture definition, design, implementation, go-to-market, and support strategies.

The Contribution:

  • Contribute to the business and product strategy by conducting market evaluations, new product visioning, business model evaluation, market requirements assessments, and product definition
  • Build expertise in multiple business strategy tools, frameworks and methods
  • Design and facilitate workshop activities to engage the client team in the creative process
  • Develop an understanding of the client’s business environment and strategy
  • Work independently with limited support from senior colleagues
  • Gain an understanding of the product development lifecycle, and the role that each of frog’s disciplines play in that lifecycle

You Are:

Someone who wants to influence your own development. You are looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions, industries and geographies, and where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are, but the starting point. You bring to the organization the following competencies;

  • Intellectual curiosity, structured thinking and a comfort with ambiguity
  • 3 years of experience in one or more areas of the product development lifecycle - envisioning new solutions, market validation, business modeling, requirements definition, architecture definition, design, implementation, and go-to-market strategies
  • Clearly demonstrated leadership and confidence-inspiring management talent
  • High peer, end-user, and client satisfaction with the work products that have been created
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Developer of thought leadership material for co-publication with senior colleagues
  • Strong writing skills
  • Willingness to travel to meet client requirements (sometimes for extended periods)
  • MBA or equivalent, with strong academic performance
  • Strong Excel modeling skills, and strong numerical analysis and statistical skills; experience with SPSS a plus
  • Business level ability in English and Chinese, every further language is a plus

Strategists are experienced professionals with 3-5 years of pre-graduate degree or 0-3 years of post-MBA experience at consulting firms or in industry. They are skilled practitioners in the art of business strategy consulting and engagement management.
