frog design Renews Partnership with TEDGlobal Conference to Create Exclusive Magazine and Program Guide

SAN FRANCISCO / OXFORD, JULY 12, 2010 – Global innovation firm frog design today announced that it has renewed its partnership with TEDGlobal, the twin conference of TED and one of the world’s most renowned gatherings of leading thinkers and doers. Taking place in Oxford, England from July 12-16, TEDGlobal 2010 is titled “And Now the Good News” and will explore the undercurrent of good news just below the surface of today’s troubling headlines, through the lens of 50 speakers and performers who are pushing the boundaries of what is known and expanding the possible. frog has produced the official program guide and will also create an exclusive TEDGlobal edition of its award-winning design mind magazine for the second year in a row.

“It has been a pleasure to partner with frog, and we have been continuously impressed by the quality and insight they bring to the content they create for TEDGlobal,” said Bruno Giussani, European Director of TED.

Designed in partnership with Hybrid Design, the TEDGlobal 2010 program guide will contain the official event schedule, speaker bios, photo portfolios, maps of Oxford, and other information that will help the more than 700 attendees navigate the unique experience of a TED conference.

“We are thrilled to partner again with TEDGlobal and have the fantastic opportunity to provide an in-depth look at the speakers and their stories that make this gathering so powerful,” said Tim Leberecht, Chief Marketing Officer for frog design. “The conference is just the start of a conversation that will extend well beyond the event itself, and we look forward to bringing the ideas presented at TED to our design mind audience.”

frog’s special TEDGlobal design mind issue will offer new perspectives on the TEDGlobal talks in Oxford, including behind-the-scenes stories from speakers and participants. The issue will also draw on frog’s diverse talent including designers, technologists, and strategists at its eight studios worldwide to create art and essays that explore more deeply the overarching “And Now the Good News” theme of the conference.

“Following last year’s conference, frog created a thought provoking and collectable magazine that celebrated the spirit and ideals of TEDGlobal in a beautiful and compelling way,” said Mr. Giussani, who will again serve as guest editor for the special issue. “The topic and speakers at this year’s conference will undoubtedly set the stage for another superb issue that will inspire both attendees and subscribers to the magazine alike.”

The magazine will be distributed to all TEDGlobal attendees and other TED members following the conference. It will also be available in select bookstores and online through http://designmind.frogdesign.com.
