frog and GE Win Again!

The PR News Platinum PR Awards celebrate the year's outstanding public relations efforts, focusing on the ability of PR to effect change in today's business sector and society at large. The Best Web Site award went to the frog-GE Picture a Healthy World campaign. The site makes it easy for users to upload images and testimonials of their own healthy choices, while accessing those of others. Over 6,000 people have submitted their stories to date. Promo Magazine gave the initiative its Second Place PRO Award for Best Idea or Concept. The Idea or Concept category awards "genuinely new or fresh interpretations of established ideas, in relation to promotional mechanics, channels of communication, types of incentives." The frog-GE campaign included the biggest billboard takeover in Times Square history, with nine digital billboards broadcasting the healthy choices of website users and passersby. The idea, a simple snapshot of worldwide health, made it easy to see the small changes people can make to improve their bodies and their lives.

The Web Marketing Association gave frog and GE the WebAward for Outstanding Achievement in Website Development, as well as the Advertising Standard of Excellence and the Events Standard of Excellence. The awards were created to set the standard for web marketing, recognizing sites worthy of distinction as examples for the field. Sites were evaluated on design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting, and usability.
